Dental Health

Restorative/Preventative

Fillings-If caught early cavities can be treated easily and painlessly with amalgam or bonded tooth-colored composite resin fillings.

Bonding- Bonding is done by adhering tooth color composite resin to the front of a tooth in order to repair damage done by decay, alter their alignment, and close gaps.

Sealants-Sealants are used to fill narrow grooves on teeth. This minimizes the chance of developing cavities.

X-rays-X-rays are used to diagnose problems quickly and accurately. The Panoramic X- ray also called a radiograph, gives a dentists a complete overview of the mouth. This provides information about patient's teeth, jawbones, sinuses and other tissues of the head and neck. A pan X-ray is an additional tool used to reach an accurate diagnosis.

Prophylaxis- Prophylaxis is a routine cleaning. Usually performed by our hygienist. The removing of plaque and tartar not only promotes good oral health but overall health as well.

Advanced Services

Cosmetic Dentistry

Crowns- Crowns are full coverage restorations that are used to cover a tooth that is likely to break, or is too broken to be restored with a filling . They are often recommended after root canal treatment, or when fillings fail.

Dentures-Dentures replace lost teeth. They can replace the entire mouth [full dentures] or some teeth [partial dentures]. Dentures are removable which means they come in an out. Partial Dentures are fitted to go over or around whatever teeth remain in the mouth. Fixed Dentures called Bridges are cemented and stay in the mouth. Once the patient is accustomed to dentures, all normal function and appearance return.

Implants - A dental implant is an option to replace a missing tooth. The implant surgery is done by and oral surgeon or periodontist. Once completed, we will attach the implant restoration.

This permanent solution has advantages over bridge work because it does not stress the surrounding teeth for support.

Root Canal Treatment-Also called Endodntics, is made necessary when a cavity is allowed, through neglect, to reach all the way to the pulp. In addition, sometimes deep restorations cause trauma to a tooth may cause the nerve to be damaged to the point it needs a root canal. This causes an infection & must be treated. To save the tooth a root canal is preformed to clean out the infected tooth pulp and disinfect the canals of the tooth. The only other alternative would be to extract the tooth. Once the infection is resolved the canals are filled to prevent any further infection. Usually a core build-up and crown are recommended for restoring a tooth that has had root canal therapy.
